Ocean Reef Club is different from any other destination in the Florida Keys or anywhere in Florida. It is not a public resort. It is not a hotel. It is a private community where members and their invited guests enjoy amenities that rival the finest resorts in the world, but without the crowds, the lines, or the compromises.
The Marina
The 175-slip marina serves as the heart of the club. From here, members access the only living coral reef in North America, a short boat ride from some of the best fishing, diving, and snorkeling in the hemisphere. Whether you arrive on your own vessel or charter one at the club, the water is the draw.
Buccaneer Island
A private beach enclave with white sand, an enclosed lagoon, two pools, and rentals for paddleboards, kayaks, and small sailboats. No crowds. No outsiders. Just space, sun, and the calm waters of the Florida Bay side of Key Largo.
The Golf Courses
Two golf courses wind through tropical hardwoods and mangroves. The Dolphin Course stretches 6,600 yards, with wide fairways and water in play on several holes. The Hammock Course plays tighter at 6,100 yards, threading through native vegetation. Both offer a level of privacy that public courses cannot match.
The Spa
8,000 square feet. Ten treatment rooms. A pool, sauna, steam rooms, and a salon. Designed for recovery after a day on the water or the course. Massages, facials, body treatments—everything you would expect from a world-class spa, delivered in a setting that prioritizes peace and discretion.
Dining Without Reservations (For Members)
Over a dozen restaurants serve the club, from casual waterfront spots to fine dining. Gianni Ristorante overlooks the marina. The Raw Bar sits steps from the fishing fleet. The Islander serves fresh seafood with Key West flair. Each restaurant maintains the same standard: excellent food, attentive service, and an atmosphere that never feels crowded.
The Fishing
Ocean Reef Club sits at the edge of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Offshore fishing yields sailfish, mahi-mahi, tuna, and wahoo. Backcountry fishing in Florida Bay targets tarpon, bonefish, and permit. The club’s marina can arrange charters with experienced local captains.
The Diving & Snorkeling
The only living coral reef in North America lies a short boat ride from the club. Molasses Reef, French Reef, and the Christ of the Abyss statue are all easily accessible. The club can arrange private charters or provide information for members bringing their own vessels.
A Private Community, Not a Public Resort
Ocean Reef Club is not open to the general public. It is a community of homeowners and members who value privacy above all else. The club operates on a model of exclusivity that feels increasingly rare. No day passes. No public access. Just members and their invited guests.
